Thymosin Alpha 1
Evidence profile: Controlled human evidence
Thymosin Alpha 1 is a synthetic 28-amino acid peptide identical in sequence to the naturally occurring thymic hormone. It has been the subject of an extensive published literature on immunomodulation, describing activity across several immune pathways including T-cell maturation, natural killer cell activation and dendritic cell modulation. Licensed medicines containing thymalfasin exist in some jurisdictions and are prescribed by clinicians; the material supplied here is a research compound and is not one of them.
