CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin

Evidence profile: Component evidence only — this formulation has not itself been studied

CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin is one preparation holding two separate compounds, a GHRH analogue and a growth hormone secretagogue. Each component has a published literature of its own and a profile of its own on this site. The blend itself has none. No controlled study of the two given together was located. The nearest published work is a 2013 analytical paper describing a method that detects both, among seven peptides, in horse plasma, and a set of recent review articles that list them side by side. Every citation here is attributed to one component or the other.

Mechanism of Action

The two components act at different receptors. CJC-1295 is a modified analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone; a 2006 randomised, placebo-controlled trial in healthy adults reported sustained rises in growth hormone and IGF-1 after a long-acting form of it. Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide that releases growth hormone through the growth hormone secretagogue receptor rather than the GHRH receptor, and its 1998 description in rat pituitary cells, rats and swine reported release without the rise in ACTH and cortisol seen with GHRP-6 and GHRP-2. Nothing published describes what the two do together.
