Evidence profile: Preclinical, with limited uncontrolled human reports

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide consisting of 15 amino acids, derived from a naturally occurring protective protein found in human gastric juice. It has been extensively studied for its regenerative, cytoprotective, and anti-inflammatory properties across multiple tissue types. Research has focused on its ability to accelerate healing in tendons, ligaments, muscles, and gastrointestinal tissues.
