ARA-290 (Cibinetide)

ARA-290 (Cibinetide) is an engineered 11-amino acid peptide derived from erythropoietin (EPO), designed to selectively activate the Innate Repair Receptor (IRR) without stimulating erythropoiesis. By targeting the EPOR/β-common receptor complex, it delivers tissue-protective and anti-inflammatory effects without increasing red blood cell production. The compound has undergone multiple Phase 2 clinical trials and holds orphan drug designation for several conditions. Research has focused on its neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties, particularly in neuropathy, tissue injury, and autoimmune-related conditions.
