Peptides for research on skin biology, from extracellular matrix signalling and collagen to pigmentation: GHK-Cu, Melanotan I and Melanotan II. GHK-Cu, the copper complex of a plasma tripeptide, is studied for collagen synthesis and matrix remodelling, and is also a component of the GLOW and KLOW Stacks. Melanotan I and Melanotan II are synthetic alpha-MSH analogues studied at the melanocortin receptors that govern melanin production: the first selective for MC1, the second acting across four receptor subtypes.
